FRIENDS OF THE LONGMONT LIBRARY

*It's all about supporting our library*

Volunteering brings not only satisfaction and new friendships, but makes a great impact on our library. Our time slots are flexible enough to fit perfectly into your schedule. Whatever your skills, we've got a position for you.

A few of our volunteering opportunities include:

BOOK SALES
• Set up and/or tear down the sales
• Cashier during the book sales *Must be trained/certified prior to sale*
• Fixer-uppers make sure the books are presentable during the sale

BOOK SHOP
Our year-round Book Shop is found in the lobby of the Longmont Library. Tasks include selecting and pricing books, stocking shelves and more.

SORTERS
Books are sorted according to genre in the Friends Sorting Room. Best if you are an analytical thinker, organized and like to follow directions.

BOX PICKER-UPPERS
We store books for our book sales in beer boxes — which means we need a lot of beer boxes. Boxes need to be picked up and delivered to our work area on a regular basis. Training takes just a few minutes.

Let us know what you might be interested in doing and our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you with all the details.
