Board Recruitment Position Description
The Friends of the Longmont Library (FOLL) has two open seats for the Board of Directors.
We are in a period of growth and program development to enhance FOLL support for the Longmont Public Library. The Board meets once a month for 90 minutes on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Desired Traits:
- Ability to work collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve many goals that support the library.
- Empathy and openness when communicating with volunteers and fellow board members.
- Listening with full attention and amenable to new ideas.
- The ability to organize, and coordinate projects and activities.
- Attention to detail in procedures and policies that direct the work of the FOLL.
- Prior experience in working with a volunteer group.
- A love of all things Library!
