Welcome Library Lover!

  • Become a member of the Friends of the Longmont Library.

We’re so glad you’re visiting our site to learn more about our organization.  If you’re here, it’s probably because you — like us — love the Longmont Public Library and all it brings to our special community.  Our goal is simple:  to raise money to support the Library and ensure that it continues to be the incredible place it is for reading, writing, studying, learning, playing, and coming together. We hope you’ll join us!  So, take some time, have a look around, and let us know if you have any questions.  The Contact page is always open!

We love our members and volunteers! And do not know what we’d do without them! At our recent Annual Meeting, we recognized several of our Outstanding Volunteers. You can see the full list of honorees here.

Each member and volunteer attender was given an opportunity to win grand prizes donated from community business. The winners are as follows:
Heart Book Art created by Judith Anderson: Laurie Cain
• *chapel in the mist* photography: Steve Rogers

• $25 Jefe’s Tacos & Tequila: Bobbi Nesheim

• Jade Bracelet from Adorn Home and Gift Gallery, valued at $45: Amy Gallaher

We are ever grateful for these community businesses and especially thankful for each and every Friends Member and Volunteer who continues to support us!

The Friends are more than the tangible programs and materials they provide us with; they are the wonderment that creates the magic of the Longmont Public Library.

Elektra G., Head of Children & Teen Services

The Friends have supported our author talks, current events series, musicians, meet-ups, and so much more. It is no stretch to say that, without the Friends, our programming team would not be able to offer what it does to our community.
