The weeks are flying by so far this year. Our nominating committee will be searching for two new Board members whose terms will begin in April. The commitment is one day a month for an evening meeting. We are especially eager to engage with a new Board member that may have interest in the Treasurer's position. One area that is important to the Board is to recruit members that reflect the population of Longmont across all ethnic groups: Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Native.
As mentioned, last month a membership database Wild Apricot was purchased to manage memberships, donations and events. The implementation is going quite smoothly. An easy-to-use site is being designed and will be up and running by April 2021.
This month the Board received requests from the Longmont Library to fund the Google Workspace for Chromebooks and digitalizing Longmont newspapers. — PRUDENCE CARTER
